Don’t Skip A Beat! Know Your Numbers

February is American Heart Month, a great reminder to check in on your heart and take steps towards better health. Heart disease has been the leading cause of death in the United States for many years. Several health conditions can increase the risk for heart disease, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity. It is recommended to visit your primary care provider at least once a year to monitor for these risk factors and stay on top of preventative care measures. Regularly checking your numbers and knowing what they should be is a great step towards taking control of your health.
